What is the key objective of your project?
A programme to inspire young people to value and choose STEM-based Careers.

Providing digital skills to black and ethnic minority groups in the Bexley Area and also in Lagos, Nigeria. We run three programmes:

Code/Story, Excel/Her and Inform/Her.

Code/Story is an empowerment project which teaches BAME girls aged 9-16 in the Bexley region how to code and build up their confidence through animated storytelling. Excel-Her is a 2-hour workshop on Microsoft Excel for BAME women 35+ in the Bexley region. The aim of the event is to help with the digital gap which often leaves women behind as technology advances. Inform/Her is a free business workshop for women in the market place, in which I teach the business strategies and ways they can use social media in their business strategy.

Social Impact:

24 BAME Girls learning coding and completing the Google CS First Storytelling Course.

30 BAME Women have registered to undertake the Microsoft Excel Workshop.

Target 30-50 Women in attendance for the Inform/Her workshop.
